Maureen O’Neill-Davis

Vice President/ Acting Board Chair

Maureen O’Neill-Davis is a nationally recognized family-integrity advocate, nonprofit founder, and policy strategist whose work bridges lived experience, systems reform, and strategic communications. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Family Forward Advocacy CT, a parent-led nonprofit providing peer support, advocacy, and systems navigation for families raising children impacted by early trauma, disrupted attachment, and complex developmental and mental health needs.

Grounded in her lived experience as a kinship adoptive parent navigating the child welfare, education, and behavioral health systems, Maureen brings more than a decade of professional experience in strategic communications, public affairs, and coalition building. She works across sectors to elevate parent voice as essential expertise, advance prevention-focused policy, and promote family-strengthening approaches that protect children by supporting parents.

In September 2025, Maureen co-authored a nationally distributed technical brief examining the emergence of lived experience as a formal occupational field within Infant-Toddler Court Teams and contributed evaluation-informed recommendations to integrate parent advocates into systems design, accountability, and policy implementation. She also serves as a facilitator with the National Parent Leadership Institute, where she equips parents to engage effectively in civic leadership and policy change.

Amy Holubar

Treasurer/ Board Member

As a founding board member of the National Coalition for Family Integrity, I am deeply committed to advancing the well-being of families and prioritizing child welfare through advocacy, collaborative partnerships, and trauma-informed care. My dedication stems from years of hands-on service and personal experience as an Adoptive, Foster, and Native American parent, which has given me a unique perspective on the challenges families and children face across diverse circumstances. I believe empowering families is essential to creating lasting, positive change, and I actively support initiatives that protect vulnerable children and promote family unity. My professional journey is further enriched by my involvement as an EEAG member, Safe Babies, and a Zero to Three Parent Leader, along with my certifications in childhood ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences), Child Trafficking, and Trauma-Informed Pediatric Care. These roles underscore my unwavering passion for child advocacy, family empowerment, and the development of supportive systems that nurture resilience and integrity within communities.

Susan Young

Co-Chair/ Board Member

Since 2017, Ms. Susan Younghas served as Executive Director of the Parent Coalition to End Human Trafficking, where she has built and led comprehensive programs that support victims, parents, and families throughout their recovery journey. Under her leadership, the Coalition has become a trusted resource for trauma-informed services, crisis navigation, and long-term healing.

Ms. Young is a nationally recognized trainer and speaker who has educated thousands of law enforcement professionalsand engaged with senior government leaders at the White House, Congress, and international organizations. Her expertise spans prevention, intervention, and survivor recovery, and her voice has helped shape the national conversation on human trafficking.

As a parent survivor herself, Ms. Young has been a driving force behind legislative reform. She has actively contributed to the development and revision of federal and state laws to strengthen protections for victims and increase accountability for traffickers. Her lived experience, combined with her policy acumen, fuels her unwavering commitment to the global eradication of human trafficking.

Ms. Young was appointed by Governor Glenn Youngkinto serve on the Commonwealth’s Human Trafficking Commission, where she provides strategic insight on statewide prevention and response efforts.

She is also the creator of a first-of-its-kind parent support curriculum, designed to guide survivor parents through healing, stabilization, and reintegration after trafficking. In addition, she facilitates a monthly support group for parents and family members. To date, she has personally supported 246 familiesthrough crisis and recovery.

Beyond her advocacy work, Ms. Young brings extensive experience as a corporate executive, having led the development of services and operational capabilities across personnel management, human resources, and corporate operations. Her combined background in executive leadership, survivor advocacy, and legislative engagement uniquely positions her as a powerful national voice for systemic change.

Cheryl Brown

Secretary/ Board Member

Cheryl A. Brown Adoption, foster care, and attachment disruption trauma permeated her life, from both her parents to all three of her adopted sweeties. Cheri's exceptional lived experience lead her to co-found Family Forward Advocacy CT in 2018, and to co-found NCFI in 2026, following her strong desire to help others parent through developmental trauma and navigate through our child serving systems for meaningful services and support.

Rachel Bruno

Board Member

Rachel Bruno is a Nashville-based author, speaker, and advocate for parental rights. After her own children were unlawfully taken by child protective services, Rachel turned her pain into purpose—becoming a powerful voice for families navigating the child welfare system. Her memoir, Fractured Hope: A Mother’s Fight for Justice, has drawn national attention, leading to numerous high-profile interviews and features that amplify the urgent need for reform.

Rachel is the founder of Giver of Light, a nonprofit dedicated to providing practical resources and support to families caught in the system. With firsthand experience in both the trauma and legal battles families face—culminating in a seven-figure civil rights settlement—she brings a rare perspective that bridges lived experience with systemic insight.

She also serves on the Executive Board of the National Coalition for Family Integrity and is the Committee Chair for its Advocacy & Education Committee, helping advance policy solutions that strengthen family integrity and accountability within child-serving systems. In addition, Rachel serves on the advisory board of Georgia-based nonprofit You Are The Power.

Today, Rachel uses her platform to shine a light on injustice, inspire change, and remind lawmakers and communities alike that at the heart of every case is a child who needs their family.

Terri LaPoint

Terri LaPoint is an award-winning author, investigative journalist, and 2026 US Congressional candidate in Alabama. She was the lead investigative journalist and assistant editor for MedicalKidnap.com for several years where she investigated and published articles on hundreds of cases involving family members, mostly children, taken from their families by Child, or Adult, Protective Services and guardianships. She conducted extensive research into the role of Child Abuse Pediatricians in the medical kidnapping of children.

Terri holds a B.S. in Cultural Anthropology/World Missions, with minors in Bible/Theology and Behavioral Science from Toccoa Falls College. She trained as a midwife through Ancient Art Midwifery Institute. She served families for many years in her roles as an assistant midwife, childbirth doula, and breastfeeding educator, with a heavy focus on maternal/child bonding. She recently graduated from King's Way College School of Ministry program.

She has written for PolitiChicks, the Inquisitr, The Liberty Beacon, and Midwifery Today, and is a contributing author to the book, Medical Kidnapping: A Threat to Every Family in America, as well to PolitiChicks: A Clarion Call to Political Activism. Terri is a regular guest on blogtalk and radio programs and speaks to family rights groups and political groups. She has been a guest on America Trends with Dr. Gina Loudon, as well Michelle Malkin Investigates. In 2017 she received Michelle Malkin's Bulldog Award for her investigative work on medical kidnapping.

Her book, Voices That Will Not Be Silenced, hit #1 on Amazon for Child Advocacy books and has won the International Impact Book Award for Crime Thriller. The book is the true story of Angel Mom Kathy Hall, documenting the legal kidnapping of her granddaughter and her friendship with the late State Senator Linda Collins-Smith of Arkansas, who was investigating the link between CPS and child sex trafficking. “
